There Was Nowhere To Put Anything!

THERE WAS NOWHERE TO PUT ANYTHING!

there was nowhere to put everything!

Blessed with enormous generosity, I got a chance to move to Miami for a few months and ride out winter in the tropics.

So, I packed too many clothes into my Mini Cooper and headed south. When I arrived in Miami, I was excited to unpack and get settled. Yes, I’m one of those people.

One problem...

The person whose apt it normally was had overly stuffed closets and didn’t clear out much space. Leaving me with about two feet for all my things...in the entire apartment. (That includes pajamas, shoes, luggage, and underwear too!)

I worked with it, but every day I had to sort through clutter or walk to numerous places to decide what to wear. It was impossible to see what I had because it was all on top of each other or smooshed.

Months of clothing wedged into space the size of a 3-year-old!

I couldn’t remember where things were and wasted at least twenty minutes each morning moving things around and trying to make outfits.

I was sartorially uninspired and looking at the messy closet only made me anxious.

Getting dressed became overwhelming, a time-suck, and highly annoying so I ended up wearing the same cutoff shorts and sundresses over and over again.

Laundry day was the worst. Always struggling to put clothes back into the mess, I realized this is what my clients feel like when their closets are overflowing with barely-worn-but-always-there clothes. Like me, you have amazing gems underneath piles but can’t see them because there’s heaps of stuff in the way.

Short term, it is easier to wear the same thing than deal with cleaning it. Long term, you're like I was: bored, annoyed, and overwhelmed when you just want to get dressed and feel happy to start your day.

Which is why in my LGY Styling Process we edit your closets before we shop and make sure we keep anything that can be used for your ideal outfits.
